Cooking Guidelines for Frozen Empanadas

🥟 Oven Baking

From Frozen (Raw pastry)

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (Fan 190°C) for at least 15 minutes.

  • Place the empanadas on a lined baking tray or grease it lightly with oil.

  • Bake for 18–20 minutes, until the pastry is golden and crisp. The filling will be very hot.

For an extra golden finish, after cooking for 10 minutes, brush the tops with a little egg wash (beaten egg with a bit of milk and a pinch of salt).

🥟 Air Fry

From Frozen (Raw pastry)

  • Preheat your air fryer to 190°C for about 1 minute.

  • Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even crispness.

For an extra golden finish, after cooking for 5 minutes, brush the tops with oil or a little egg wash (beaten egg with a bit of milk and a pinch of salt).

✨ Tip: Every oven and air fryer is a little different, so keep an eye on your empanadas as they cook. They’re ready when they’re beautifully golden and smell irresistible!

🥟 Deep Fry

  • Heat oil to 170.

  • Fry for 3–4 minutes, until golden.

  • Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
